FAQ's

WILD OREGANO OIL

Q: What is Carvacrol and why does it matter?

Carvacrol is a natural compound found in oregano oil. Louianna's oil is derived from Origanum Minutiflorum, which naturally contains 80–85% Carvacrol - one of the highest concentrations among oregano species.

Q: Why is oregano oil blended with olive oil?

Pure oregano oil is too potent to be used at full strength on its own, so it is blended with a carrier oil for safe use. Louianna uses its own estate-grown Certified Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil rather than a generic lower-quality oil.

Q: Is Louianna's oregano oil certified organic?

Yes, it is Certified Organic by USDA Organic.

Q: Is this product licensed by Health Canada?

Yes, it is licensed under NPN 80047938

Q: What size options are available?

It comes in one size: a 30 mL bottle

OILS & TRUFFLES

Q: What are polyphenols in olive oil, and why are they important?

Polyphenols are naturally occurring antioxidant compounds found in extra virgin olive oil. They help protect the oil from oxidation and contribute to its characteristic taste, aroma, and overall quality.

Q: What does P.D.O. certification mean?

P.D.O. (Protected Designation of Origin) is an EU certification guaranteeing the olive oil is produced in a specific region - in this case, Molise, Italy - under strict quality standards.

Q: What is the acidity level of Louianna olive oil?

It ranges from 0.29% to 0.35%, which is considered low acidity and results in a higher smoke point.

Q: How much polyphenol content does Louianna EVOO contain?

Louianna Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil contains approximately 0.75 mg of polyphenols per tablespoon (15 mL). These naturally occurring compounds contribute to the oil’s antioxidant properties and are one of the beneficial components found in high-quality extra virgin olive oil.

Q: Does the white truffle oil contain real truffle?

Yes, each bottle contains an actual truffle shaving sourced from the mountains of Montorio Nei Frentani, Molise, Italy.
